The Ready Set
Jordan Witzigreuter was only 20 years old when nearly overnight, the young Indiana-born musician-who had spent the better part of his teens writing an arsenal of illegally catchy, electro-pop songs-was plucked from near obscurity and thrust into the spotlight. "I started playing shows to a couple people in someone's basement,"Witzigreuter remembers. "Then, a year and a half later, I was playing radio festivals with Maroon 5 to 10,000 people." Five years have passed since the release of TRS's debut album, I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, which hit No. 3 on Billboard's Heatseakers chart, thanks to the platinum-selling success of the LP's first single, "Love Like Woe." In 2011 TRS released their sophomore album Feel Good Now and the hit song "Young Forever." Jordan has since been writing and even penned a song to Taylor Swift "For The Better" that went viral with over 500,000 views. The band has toured with The Wanted, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cher Loyd, Breathe Carolina, We The Kings, Allstar Weekend, Boys Like Girls, and more.

Augustana will be touring this spring with Twin Forks featuring their good friend Chris Carrabba (dates below).

Life Imitating Life was produced by John O'Mahony (Coldplay, Metric, Kashmir) and recorded in Rhinebeck, NY and Nashville, TN. The album flips the next page for Augustana. The Southern California group's fourth full-length album and first for Washington Square sees singer, guitarist, and songwriter Dan Layus wholeheartedly embracing Augustana's musical touchstones, while simultaneously progressing. His own journey proves central to these ten tracks, making for a passionate, poetic, and powerful story.

Since starting while its members were in college, Augustana has built a remarkable history of their own. 2005's All The Stars and Boulevards, its follow-up Can't Love, Can't Hurt in 2008, and most recently Augustana cumulatively exceed sales of 500,000 albums. In addition, they've enjoyed single sales of 2.5 million and counting. Meanwhile, "Boston", "Sweet & Low", and "I Still Ain't Over You" vaulted to the Top 10 at AAA Radio, while "Boston" reached #1 at Hot AC and landed in the Top 25 of Top 40. Not to mention, they've played to packed houses around the world while headlining and supporting the likes of OneRepublic, Snow Patrol, Counting Crows, and more.

After this show, the band will be hitting the road and making appearances at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, BottleRock, Playboy Jazz Festival and more to be announced (tour dates below).

Their critically acclaimed album Social Music (Washington Square/Razor & Tie) was released last Fall and still continues to receive rave reviews and accolades. The band has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Esquire, Interview Magazine, GQ, Blackbook to name a few.

In Late April/early May, a PBS "Front & Center" Special will be airing that will feature amazing performances by Jon Batiste and Stay Human at New York's exclusive spot the Mckittrick Hotel.

Considered by many to be the most innovative and uplifting band on the scene today, Jon and his band are revered for their unique approach blending many genres to create a musical mashup that they call "social music," having one of the most musical and entertaining live shows today.

With his soulful voice, virtuosic piano chops and dapper sense of style, Jon Batiste has ignited the music scene. Although he comes from a renowned lineage of New Orleans musicians in his family, over the last decade he has forged his own artistic path by indelibly fusing himself within the fabric of New York City culture. At 26, Jon is the Artistic Director At Large of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and has also received a Masters Degree from the Juilliard School for piano. Batiste brings to mind a young Ray Charles on Social Music as he reinterprets America's richest musical traditions through a contemporary lens.
